To complement the University's Refugee Mentoring Program, which aims to raise aspirations towards tertiary study among refugee children, 2 scholarships will be offered each year to students from refugee backgrounds.

听贰濒颈驳颈产颈濒颈迟测:听 Applicants must: be enrolled in full-time internal study at Macquarie University (part-time enrolment may be accepted in exceptional circumstances); demonstrate financial need; have arrived in Australia with a Commonwealth humanitarian visa or be Australian citizens from a refugee background; demonstrate the capacity to triumph over hardship (e.g. financial disadvantage, sole parent or carer responsibilities, non-English speaking or Indigenous background, effects of trauma and/or abuse, long-term medical condition or disability, coming from rural or remote area); and not have previously undertaken university studies. Preference will be given to demonstrated community leadership and involvement. Applicants are required to submit a personal statement addressing the criteria.
